Open solidcraft.io/app. Query tips from the docs:
?sample — open the sample part?webgl — force WebGL2 if WebGPU misbehavesDesigns save in the browser’s private storage (needs HTTPS or localhost). After the first visit the app can work offline from a kept copy.
Self-host option: Docker image ghcr.io/tangency-labs/solidcraft-web on port 8080.
Needs stable Rust 1.95 or newer (per official Getting started).
git clone https://github.com/tangency-labs/solidcraft
cd solidcraft
cargo run --release -p solidcraft -- --sample
cargo run --release -p solidcraft-cli -- run examples/bracket.json --out bracket.step
Two easy paths (both from official materials):
Launch with --sample, or open the web app with ?sample. Explore the timeline and change a parameter.
Run the official example script headlessly:
solidcraft-cli run examples/bracket.json --out bracket.step
solidcraft-cli eval examples/bracket.json
Source: examples/bracket.json.
In the UI, the usual flow is: create a sketch on a plane → draw and dimension → finish sketch → extrude → fillet / shell as needed → change parameters and watch the timeline rebuild.
Units default to millimetres and degrees; Z is up.
